It originates from a church, built in the eleventh century, fifty miles east of Oviedo. The meaning behind the cross is that the Rome that crucified Jesus has became dust meanwhile the Christ kingdom reminds external. The Virgin Mary and Saint John are positioned on both side of the crucified Jesus on the cross. At the top, an angel appears as Adam emerges from his grave at the bottom. It also had inscription and terminal with symbol of St. John, St. Lukes and St. Marks. It also had a Latin inscription stating “In honor of the Holy Savior: Sanccia Guidisalvi had me made.” Which then brings conspiracy since Sanccia name is on the back of the cross that she could of possibly have originally made the cross.
